and professional. We can make a site using your own design, build
it for you with your requirements in mind, or design it from the
ground up. Whichever way, you're only paying for the actual time

MIS can set up or advise you on your site to receive the maximum
exposure to the Internet public via search engines, and we can
also advise on other ways to improve your site's visibility.
Once
your website has been built, it needs to be uploaded to a
host's
server to be available on the World Wide Web. The hosting package
you choose will depend on the size of your site and the features
you require. Monthly hosting fees are very economical, and often
the style of a site will require no more than our most basic
plan,
at just $45.00 per month. Details of the options are available

For
the ultimate in personalising your website, you may want your
own WWW address for the site. This will usually be the name of
your business, for example www.mybusiness.co.nz. This allows the
public to instantly and easily recognise your name when wanting
to visit the site. It also provides you with the ability to have
email addressed to you at your business name, for example joe@mybusiness.co.nz,
or enquiries@mybusiness.co.nz. We can help you select an appropriate
name, register it and arrange to have it hosted.
The
first step in registering a name is to find out whether it is
available, as all domain names have to be unique. If you have
not already done a Domainz search please contact
MIS so we can check it for you. (The 3rd party costs for having
a domain name are charged by Domainz or an approved registrar,
and are seperate from any other costs incurred by MIS - currently
around NZ$45.00 per year).
If
you don't already have a personal Internet connection MIS can
arrange this for you. This can usually be managed over the telephone.
We can give you guidance on choosing a suitable ISP (Internet
Service Provider), and talk you through the entire process.
You
may require your website to be capable of handling business for
you electronically. If the volume of business is large enough
this can be an incredibly cost effective means of handling transactions.

capabilities.
